How does Gordon Brown rate as a public speaker compared to David Cameron?
In Blue Peter mode (what I’m reading is a speech someone prepared earlier) Gordon Brown looks and sound impressive and statesmanlike. But watch him in action in Prime Minister’s Questions and his lack of skill as an orator shines through.
David Cameron appears more comfortable, and looks and sounds good talking to his audience, rather than lecturing. However, he can also handle the lectern well enough, as evidenced at the 2008 Conservative Party Conference.
